Adventist Singles Connection Click Here

Summary:
Adventist Singles Connection is yet another offering from Z-specific dating giant, Spark Network. If you are familiar with other Spark Network sites such as Greek Singles Connection or Asian Singles Connection then you’ll know what to expect. A respected member of the online dating community, Spark Network has built its formidable empire by tailoring specific sites to specific audiences.

Pros:
- Well designed site
- A welcoming site if you are searching for a fellow Adventist
- Wonderful secondary personality tests

Cons:
- No A/V chat
- Membership numbers are low

Costs:
Adventist Singles Connection runs in the same way as other Spark Network sites – free to sign up and get online, pay to communicate with other members. There are two membership strata to choose from: standard paying which receives all of the communication perks and premium membership which gets all of the communication plus the Spotlight and StandOut features. For standard membership, rates run $19.99 for one month, $50.97 for three months, $79.98 for 6 months or $99.96 for one full year. Premium membership will cost you: $26.99 for one month, $68.97 for three months, $103.98 for six months or $135.96 for a full year.

Account Setup:
It’s easy as pie to create an account on any Spark Network site. All it takes is a matter of 5 minutes to fill out the standard questions (“How tall are you?” “What is your body type?” etc, etc.) Of course, if you want to take full advantage of the Spark Network system, you’ll take the time to fill out the secondary personality tests, most notably the color test. Those tests can take a couple of hours if you take the time to really ruminate over the questions.

Photos:
Non-paying members get 4 photo slots and paying members get 10. Photos upload very quickly (ours took less than an hour) provided they are not nudey pics of you.

Search:
This is where Spark Network sites excel. There are a lot of search options including gratis compatibility matchings (via the secondary personality tests). You can look at a photo album layout – if there were a lot of members on Adventist Singles Connection, you would be able to wade through them quickly.

Special Features:
Secondary personality tests, secondary personality tests, secondary personality tests – if you are on a Spark site then you must must must take the color test. It’s interesting at the least and eye-opening at best. Other features include Spotlight and Stand-Out for premium members which puts them at the top of all search results. A good forum and some site generated content is around as well.

Communication:
Standard Facebook style messaging, email and live chat. No A/V options.

Support:
An excellent FAQs section is buoyed by a site-generated email address. We still can’t find a phone number for non-advertising questions on Spark Network sites, although logic would dictate that a company of this size has to have one somewhere.

In their words:
Single Seventh-day Adventist Church members meet other Adventist singles here. Detailed online profiles, dating, chat rooms and photo gallery. Join the only real online personals site for single Adventists today! We Bring Adventist Singles Together!

Our reviewer’s opinion:
This is pushing it. I’m actually a fan of Z-specific sites in theory, as they immediately point people who need Z-thing in their mate towards each other. Maybe I’m just jealous that someone else had the idea first, but this is the exact same site as a number of other Spark Network sites, just put under the Adventist banner. While there is obviously nothing wrong with being an Adventist, Spark Network’s impressive design creates the illusion of much higher membership numbers than actually exist. There really aren’t many active Adventist members on Adventist Singles Connection – a criticism that our readers have continually made of some other Spark Network sites. The design and accessibility of the Spark Network model is very strong, but perhaps the proliferation of sites has watered down the dating pool. If you are an Adventist dead-set on finding another, I would point you towards a general Christian-specific site – this one just doesn’t have the membership numbers to make it a good bet. It looks great and again, the secondary personality tests are wonderful, but Adventist Singles Connection is like some giant Hollywood blockbusters, looks great but not much substance.
