AsiaFriendFinder.com, where you can “Meet your special someone,” is part of the huge FriendFinder network, with over 9 million members in total. AsiaFriendFinder is focused on featuring and matching Asian singles around the world.

Pros:
- Lots of members means a better chance of finding someone
- The software has many attractive features
- You may upload up to 20 pictures, and most members do have at least 6 or 7

Cons:
- There is very little access unless you are a paying member

Costs:
Being a guest at AsiaFriendFinder allows you to set up a full profile and browse and search other profiles; however, you may not view full profiles or pictures or initiate any contact. Silver members may view and contact other members and get some access to blogs and groups; Silver membership costs as little as $9.63 a month (for a 3 month subscription) or $14.88 for a single month. Gold members may view extra large photos and video intros, get top spots in searches, and have full access to other members’ contact info (such as AIM and Yahoo) as well as all groups, blogs and magazines. Gold membership costs $18.88 for a single month, and as little as $12.22/month if you purchase the 3-month membership, which comes with one extra month free.

Account Setup: Easy
Like all FriendFinder sites, it takes a minute to create a basic AsiaFriendFinder profile, but you can spend hours fleshing it out with all the extra sections. These additional sections include your personal and physical information, as well as a large number of additional questions (such as dating preferences, drams & goals, outlook on life, sports and hobbies) and a free test to determine your personality type and find out how it relates to your potential matches.

Photos:
AsiaFriendFinder allows users to upload up to 20 pictures, which you may enter in batches of 5. It has a minimum of editing options: at least you can choose the order of your pictures, add captions to them and allow other members to vote on how much they like your photos. AsiaFriendFinder can scan and upload your pictures if you don’t have any digital ones, but it will cost you $15.

Search:
If you have not paid for a subscription, you will be allowed to search with a few filters, such as relationship type, marital status and children. That said, you will not have access to the full profiles of the results until you become a Silver or Gold member. Subscribers to AsiaFriendFinder members may refine their search further with criteria such as zodiac sign, language, and smoking/drinking habits. Other search options show you the newest members, the most popular ones or the ones nearest you. You may save a list of “Cupid Preferences,” which will be used to filter your search results, incoming messages and email notifications. Our reviewers test search threw a good number of attractive results, about half of which were Asian – the other half are presumably looking for an Asian partner.

Special Features:
AsiaFriendFinder is full of exciting features, such as chat rooms and instant messenger. You can upload (and view) introductory videos, join discussion forums and even create your own dating blog within AsiaFriendFinder.

Support:
If you have problems, questions or suggestions, AsiaFriendFinder has a thorough (and searchable) FAQ section, as well as an email form for your questions and feedback.

This is a well designed site with plenty of cool software features (IM, blogs, videos) and a vast membership base, partly acquired through marketing in China. AsiaFriendFinder seems a very good option for Asian singles looking for a partner from a similar background, or for those looking to date or marry into the Asian community.
