Account Setup:
Like most sites, creating your profile can be a 2 minute or a 2 hour process on Bookofmatches.com. You are required to answer stock questions about yourself including body type, type of relationship desired and so on and so forth. If you’d care to put in the time, you can also flesh out your profile with essay answers, photos, music, wallpaper, video and personality test results.
Photos:
You are allowed 3 photos and your first photo is subject to the Sizzle/Fizzle Rating system (a “Hot or Not” style slideshow test where members rate other member pics on a scale of 1-10.) Photos upload within 5 minutes and the site gives a little more slack than most when it comes to steamy member pictures.
Search:
Very solid search options ranging from the straightforward searches for stock questions (height, weight, location, desired relationship, etc., etc.) to the mini tab, album style lineup of other members. Plenty of ways to track down other members on bookofmatches.com.
Special Features:
Other than the fact that everything is entirely free (a special feature in itself!) Bookofmatches.com offers a few personality tests and essay prompted discussion groups. Bookofmatches.com also features dozens of Flash video games to be played (including the original Pac-Man,) the Sizzle/Fizzle Rating system, a healthy forum, an easily accessed live chat option and video/music uploading options. Did we mention that it’s entirely free?
Communication:
Email, live chat, forums – the only major mode of communication that bookofmatches.com does not sponsor is site-chaperoned phone calls. Although a video email style video messenger option is available as well.
Support:
Here’s where Bookofmatches.com loses a little bit of traction. While it does feature the single most descriptive and helpful FAQ page we’ve ever seen online, the only way to reach the Bookofmatches.com administrative team is through a site-generated help email option. Although with 0 sign-up fees, there really are not so many reasons to be pursuing contact with the Support Team.

Bookofmatches.com offers just about everything that most major sites do, only while most sites are charging a minimum of $10 per month, Bookofmatches.com is free. The on-site games and forum also provide members with some fun activities to undertake while scouring bookofmatches.com for new friends. The only real drawback to Bookofmatches.com is the relatively small member base so you may end up having to go on a journey to meet up with your new digital mate.
