Established in 1997, the Spark Network owns and operates such online dating destinations as JDate.com and BBWPersonalsPlus.com. CatholicMingle.com features all of the Spark Network specials you’ve come to expect: numerous personality tests, hundreds of customizable options for your profile and dozens of ways to contact other members. CatholicMingle.com is a great place to make a connection with a fellow Catholic.

Pros:
- Spark Network means a safe, secure and fun dating experience
- You can be sure that you’ll meet someone Catholic

Cons:
- Not a lot of standard options for the non-paying customers
- No site-assisted telephone communication

Costs:
Same protocol as other Spark Network sites: free to sign up which gets you a basic profile page with 4 photo slots. Standard membership gets you communication with other members and access to a few special profile options and will cost you $19.99 for one month or about $50 for six. Premium membership gives you everything the standard membership does in addition to the Stand-Out and Spotlight features which highlight your profile on the home page. Premium memberships will cost you $26.99 for one month or $71.94 for six.

Account Setup:
You can take 5 minutes to create your profile or 2 days – the choice is yours. The bare minimum is a series of 15 basic questions (height, body type, race, etc., etc.) that you can finish in all of 5 minutes. If you choose to complete all of the essay questions, personality tests in addition to selecting 4 photos, then you are looking at a substantially longer process. The choice is yours.

Photos:
Members are allowed up to 4 non-explicit photographs of themselves on their profile. So no porn, no fakes and no landscapes.

Search:
Members can search out connections by: filtering through any of the questions in the initial profile set-up questionnaire, looking through a miniaturized tab of multiple profile links arranged in a photo album style, going through the “Think You’d Click” game or just looking through the site itself.

Special Features:
CatholicMingle.com features a number of special personality tests, particularly the fantastic color coordination system featured on every Spark Network site. Spotlight, Stand-Out, Think You’d Click and the CatholicMingle.com message board are also unique features.

Communication:
Standard and Premium members can email and wink at fellow members in addition to meeting up in an IM style chat. No site-chaperoned phone option.

Support:
Most concerns are answered through their thorough FAQ and Help pages but if you should need to contact someone, you can email the support team on-site. Questions are generally answered within 4 hours.
