Chemistry is a sister site of the popular Match.com, with membership in the millions. Chemistry uses a “Chemistry profile” which matches people according to their dominant personality traits.

Costs:
You can set up an account, upload pictures and view your matches (complete with pictures) for free. If you want to communicate you have to become a subscriber: prices range from $26.65 a month (for a 6 month plan) to $49.95 for just one month.

Account Setup: Takes some work
Time it took to set up an account/profile: About 20 minutes, which flew – the questions were interesting, varied and unexpected (especially the comparison on finger lengths and the visual tests.) There are few essay questions, and even those are rather short – an ideal site for the verbally challenged.

Photos:
Uploading pics is remarkably easy, and you can upload up to 25 – more than enough to show all of your good angles. Pictures are shown as a 1×1 inch thumbnail, but they can be enlarged for a slideshow.

Search:
There is no search feature as such, instead you enter a series of requirements for your matches and the system shows you the people who meet your requisites and match your personality. The large member base ensures you will get at least 10-12 matches to begin.

Communication:
This is one of the sites that will find you matches and guide your communication rather than just let you talk at once. While it is a good idea for the shy and cautious, the system can also seem stilted and awkward. Bear with it, though – matches are high quality and deserve jumping a few hoops.
