Take a gander at HurryDate Online!

Summary:
HurryDate is an edgy online dating hub designed not only to bring daters together online, but to organize them in the real world around a touring Speed Dating and Party Series. The HurryDate Party Bus is traveling around the US on a set schedule, so in addition to “normal” online dating, members sign-up in advance for the HurryDate Party when it comes to their neck of the woods. HurryDate is generally geared towards a sub-40 audience and features some fun secondary profile options in addition to its central Speed Dating and Party motus operandi.

Pros:
- Great Real World Events sections make for good real world dates!
- Edgier site leads to more interesting answers to the most mundane of questions

Cons:
- No A/V options
- Edgier site so it can be intimidating to more timid daters
- Not a lot of photo options

Costs:
Like most sites, HurryDate lets you get your profile up online for free, but if you want to send emails to other members, you’ve got to pay up. 1 month will cost you $24.99, 3 months $49.99 and six months are a discounted $69.99. HurryDate Speed Dates and Parties are paid for as you go.

Account Setup:
According to HurryDate.com itself, creating an account is a 2 minute and 43 second process. While that isn’t totally true, it’s that sort of tongue-in-cheekiness which peppers most of HurryDate.com. Creating an account is as easy as answering all of the usual questions (“How tall are you?” “What are you looking for in a mate?” etc, etc) but packaged in the trademark HurryDate attitude.

Photos:
You’ll get your main photo which acts as your face on HurryDate.com. Then you’ll get 4 photo slots to be filled with these instructions: “We think it’s pretty much a given, but no nudity, obscenity, sexual or otherwise offensive photos will be posted. Come on, people!” See what we mean by HurryDate’s edginess?

Search:
The biggest black mark on the HurryDate report card goes in the search categories. Very paltry search options – this is really a site where you are setting up speed dates, signing up for “parties” and coming across members through the most basic of searches.

Special Features:
The speed dating and Party options are obviously the biggest special features on HurryDate. Again, the way these work is as follows: find the next party in your area, sign up and pay for registration fees (each party costs a fee) then show up and get dating.

Communication:
Rather average online communication on HurryDate.com. Paying members can email other members or send them the HurryDate equivalent of a smiley or flirt, namely, a drink. How’s that for attitude? When you are looking to break the ice with other members on HurryDate, you send them an e-drink!

Support:
A strong FAQs section meets up with site-generated support email, phone numbers and you can even speak with administration live and in person should you show up to a party or speed dating session.

In their words:
…You’ve never speed dated quite like HurryDate! You are sure to leave a HurryDate party with your head spinning, your heart beating a mile a minute and a smile that lasts for days. It’s a wild ride and unlike any other night out after work you’ve had in a long time!

Our reviewer’s opinion:
I appreciate HurryDate.com. Not only is it actively trying to get online daters up and into the real world through speed dating and parties, but it’s unique voice and edginess make a lot of questions which are usually quite boring more interesting and specific. As it is geared towards daters in their twenties and thirties, the general vibe on the site is youthful and energetic. It can get a little pricey with each speed dating session costing a fee, and the search options are as lameduck as they come in sites of this size… but in general, the strong identity and sense of real world dating make HurryDate.com a successful online dating destination.
