Match.com launches free online site DownToEarth.com

Many people are put off online dating because of the horror stories: the attractive, intelligent person you had been emailing and chatting with turned out to be someone completely different once you got to meet. With new site DownToEarth.com this should never be a concern again for anyone considering online dating.

Top online dating site Match.com recently added to its portfolio, launching innovative free dating site DownToEarth.com. DownToEarth’s main selling point is a “self-policing” environment that tries to keep users honest about themselves. Thomas Enraght-Moony, CEO of Match.com, explained how this self-evaluating system works: “For DownToEarth.com, we created the breakthrough RealRatings(TM) system to allow members to self-police for continuous improvement of the community.” After daters have met, they are encouraged to rate the other person’s profile honesty and accuracy on a scale ranging from ‘Not Even Close’ (one star) to ‘True to Life’ (five stars). Inaccurate profiles may be penalized and even removed.

DownToEarth.com is headed by fraud prevention expert Jacob Solotaroff, who explained why the site will be a hit among today’s savvy singles: “Singles are tired of the misrepresentation that takes place on free sites. DownToEarth.com’s RealRatings(TM) system encourages honest and respectful interactions, enabling our daters to create a trustworthy community.”

Those thinking of dipping a toe into online dating should consider giving DownToEarth a try – even if your date turns out to be a frog instead of the prince(ss) they seemed to be, you will at least be assured that it will not happen to anyone else.
