Costs:
This is really the biggest black mark on any People Media site. First, they tell you that there is a special 10-minute offer that you have to act now on if you want to upgrade to a paying/active account. Then, they spring a one-time processing fee of $3.95 on you. And it’s not that their prices are unreasonable ($14.95 for one month or $59.70 for six months) it’s just the style.
Account Setup:
Par for the course – you’ll answer about 15 stock questions ranging from the normal (“How tall are you?” “When is your birthday?”) to the uncomfortable (“How good looking are you?” “What is your body type?”) That may take you 10 minutes to fill out and there are some more optional questions which could take up to an hour to fill out if you really took your time. There are no real secondary personality tests to complete however.
Photos:
One of the real bright spots for SingleParentMeet.com is the photo options: unlimited photos (and they upload within an hour most of the time too!)
Search:
Because there are no real secondary personality tests, there are no real search options. Which is not to say that you can’t filter through zip code, height, weight, age and all of those normal options – just no Chemistry.com style match-ups.
Special Features:
You’ve got A/V chat, a unique “Other Members You May Enjoy” section and an extremely functional “Hot or Not” style game where if you select “yes, I would be attracted” a flirt is automatically sent to the member. This is what we’re talking about when we say that SingleParentMeet.com is a streamlined dating experience.
Communication:
Once you pay your membership fees then you will gain access to Facebook-style messaging, A/V chat and flirts.
Support:
A very thorough FAQs section will answer most of your questions. Should one get by then you’ve got a site-generated support address (which usually responds within 4 hours). You can also leave your phone number for them to call you (which can sometimes take up to 24 hrs).

Other than the pricing, I’m a huge fan of People Media sites. And this is such a wonderful Z-Specific idea as one of the great barriers to dating in many single parents’ minds is the burden of parental responsibilities. Here, you’ve got a site where everything is out in the open and no one can claim that they didn’t know what they were getting themselves into. One of the real special niche sites out there.
