The Importance of Sex – Part 4: The Sex Quiz

In the first three parts of The Importance of Sex we examined the importance of sexual communication. In Part 4, we’ll look at understanding your sexual identity through the aid of a Sex Quiz.

There is no failure. Before we get to the actual quiz, it should be understood that there is no failing this test. Be honest and let the test expose some portions of who you are to yourself. Many of the questions are going to seem to be under-worded and maybe even vague. This is by design – many of the greatest answers we ever get are in the way we interpret questions that could go a few different ways.

So answer to the best of your abilities, the answer key is in Part 5 of The Importance of Sex.

  1. When was the last time you had sex?
  2. When was the last time you had what you would consider to be good sex? Is that a difficult question to answer?
  3. Is sex important in a relationship?
  4. Is sex more or less important than money?
  5. When talking about sexual body parts to your boyfriend or girlfriend, what words do you use? What words would you never use?
  6. How old should someone be when they lose their virginity?
  7. Is monogamy a worthwhile endeavor? Why or why not?
  8. Is it possible to “just have sex” with someone, meaning that the two of you would merely be exchanging body heat and fluids, there would be absolutely no emotional connection between you two?
  9. How do you know if you trust someone or not?
  10. Should the lights be on or off during sex? Why or why not?
  11. Do you find yourself getting more or less aroused when under the influence of alcohol? Do you find the follow through on that arousal to be more or less difficult when intoxicated?
  12. What is the relationship between sex and love? Does love compound after sex? Is sex unrelated to love? Does love give you license to have sex? What is the relationship between love and sex?
  13. Do you ever have sex to oblige someone? As in, you would not necessarily have sex with this person but they seem to really want it so you’ll do it.
  14. Is pillow talk and cuddling important?
  15. Do you talk during sex? How and why?
