What Men Make of the Pictures You Take Part 2
In Part 1 of What Men Make of the Pictures You Take we looked into the mind of a man viewing different types of profile pictures, including pictures of you partying and your best head shot. In Part 2, we’ll view XY’s view of other picture types:
- Graduation and Accomplishment Shots: If you should choose to exhibit pictures of your triumphs, then you should expect to hear from the Bill Clintons of the world. These are the men who are likely to be very driven professionally themselves and looking to enjoy the company of an independent woman. These men are likely to overlook a higher level of aggression and feistiness from their mates but at the same time, expect to see more impressive feats out of her in the near future.
- Wedding Shots: I guess if you’re putting yourself out there in a wedding dress then you’re not all that interested in what type of guy comes back to you. The men likely to respond to you in your ivories and laces are going to have one major thing in common with you: nothing left to lose. I’m going to be honest; whatever you would be attracting by putting yourself out there in a wedding dress is not going to be the fairy tale you imagine. Don’t put bridal shots on your profile page. These are not to be confused with you as a maid of honor or flower girl type shots – these are specifically the “you as the bride” shots, and they make no sense.
- Travel, You in Action Pictures: If you put a picture of you-on-the-rocks-of-New-Zealand-against-the-sunset up on your home page, you should expect to attract travelers. Likewise, if you put yourself in the bowling alley up, you can expect bowlers. This one is every bit as simple as it seems – humans want to hang out with other humans who do the same stuff that they do. If a certain activity means a lot to you and you’d like to share it with your new friend, then put it up on your profile.
- What you Wear and How you Look: Of course, in any picture of any sort if you are doing it without a bra on, guys are going to notice that. ESPECIALLY guys who are on the prowl. Take an extra look at whichever picture you are putting up and recognize if you are showing off your body or not. If the answer is yes, then whether or not you are looking sexy in church or on the beach, you should expect the occasional hound dog.
Just about every site out there allows you multiple slots for different photos. Likewise, you can project a few different sides of yourself and attract more men. It is important to note that your multiple photos will not whittle down your suitor field though – the different photos will not combine to filter out exactly what you want. They will however, attract more men. What type of men that will be is up to you.
